About Me

Hello world! I am Himanshu, a backend software engineer at Stripe. My current role involves seamlessly integrating new payment methods with Stripe APIs. I was proud to be part of the team that successfully shipped the PayPal payment method integration in May 2023. Currently, I am dedicated to crafting a dynamic payments platform designed to launch new payment methods 10x faster.

Previously I was a software engineer at Google, where I focused on developing peer-to-peer infrastructure for Nearby Share. This project garnered considerable attention from both the media[1][2][3] and Google’s official blog, reflecting it’s significance. Additionally, I contributed to Google’s recruitment efforts by spearheading the Google Kick Start competition, which played a pivotal role in hiring over 500 talented software engineers in 2019 alone.

During my teenage years, I was fortunate to receive an award from Bjarne Stroustrup, the distinguished creator of C++. I currently hold the prestigious #2 rank in India and a commendable #110 rank globally in algorithmic competitions. If you’re interested in learning more, I had the opportunity to share my experiences in an interview with Topcoder in 2017 on this journey.
